Rock The Bells Club Tour hits Pyramid.
Guerilla Union‘s massive hip hop tour has never reached city limits until now.
Rock The Bells‘s only Canadian dates this year are in the usual bigger markets: Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. For the first time ever, smaller markets like Saskatoon and Winnipeg will have a chance to experience the international touring festival with the Rock The Bells Club Tour, which arrives in Winnipeg on Friday, August 21 at Pyramid Cabaret.
The lineup consists of Slum Village, Slaughterhouse, Supernatural and Pete Rock. SV’s participation was in doubt after founding member Baatin‘s passing this past long weekend but the group confirmed that they will continue with their RTB dates and performed at the Vancouver (Aug 1) and Calgary (Aug 2) dates.
None of the confirmed acts have ever played in Winnipeg but two members of Slaughterhouse have: Royce Da 5’9 and Joe Budden. The supergroup is rounded out by Crooked I and Joell Ortiz. The group have the rap industry buzz locked as anticipation builds for their first album.
Supernatural has long been considered one of the strongest freestyle rappers in the industry and has been involved with RTB since 2004. His battles with Craig G and MC Juice are underground classics and he is bound to unleash some of that lyrical fire at the Pyramid.
Pete Rock really needs no introduction. He’s Pete Rock. Producer extraordinaire. DJ king. Rap icon. ’nuff said.
Tickets are 32.50 + agency fees and will be available at Ticketmaster outlets, Pyramid Cabaret, Into The Music, Music Trader and The Urban Bakery.
The Rock The Bells Club Tour is proudly brought to you by The Union, Ill Movements, UMFM and Bundown Sound System.
