The Exchange Event Centre will be closing.
The venue once known as Mezzo will shutter for the time being as renovations begin for a new nightspot. Stephen Hua indicated last year that a nightclub will open in the building at 291 Bannatyne this year. As a farewell to the home of Thriller and countless other events and shows – notably under the SOUNDWAVE/SOUND REPUBLIC banner, TUB and Sound Republic will be throwing R.I.P.E.E.C. on Friday, January 16.
The BUNDOWN SOUND SYSTEM will be spinning Hip Hop in the main room alongside DJ D-LO while STEPHEN HUA, KAYO, FREAKY ALIEN, SHINOBI, LSD, NYO and TIM WATERS holding down the House and Electro in the side room.
